Wauwautosa once had mainlines of both the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) and the Chicago & North Western Railway (C&NW). Today, Union Pacific Railroad owns the former C&NW, while the former Milwaukee Road is owned by CPKC.
