Kenosha once had a Chicago & North Western Railway (C&NW) mainline, a C&NW branch line and a Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad (CNS&M) mainline. Today, the former C&NW lines are owned by Union Pacific Railroad; while the CNS&M has been abandoned and partially converted to a trail.
