Shakopee had two railroads, a Milwaukee Road branch line and a Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha Railway mainline. Today, the Milwaukee Road is both abandoned and trail, while the Omaha Road is owned by Union Pacific Railroad.
