Seneca once had three railroads, including a Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad (Rock Island) mainline, a branch line owned Kankakee & Seneca Railroad (K&S) and an interurban line. Today, the Rock Island and remaining portion of the K&S is owned by CSX, while interurban line has been abandoned.
