Ottawa once had a Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway (Rock Island) mainline, a Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad (CB&Q) secondary line and an interurban line. Today, the Rock Island is owned by Iowa Interstate Railroad, while the CB&Q is owned by Illinois Railway. The interurban line has been abandoned.
