Moline is located on the Mississippi River, across from Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa. The main railroads through the city were the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad (Rock Island) and the Davenport, Rock Island & North Western Railway (DRI&NW). Today, the Rock Island is owned by Iowa Interstate Railroad, while the DRI&NW is jointly owned by CPKC and BNSF Railway.
