Kasota had a pair of railroads, including the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha Railway (Omaha Road) mainline and a Chicago & North Western secondary route. Today, Union Pacific Railroad operates the Omaha Road, while the C&NW has been abandoned.
