Hopkins once had mainlines for both the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway (Milwaukee Road), and the Minneapolis & St. Louis Railway, as well as a Great Northern Railway branch line. Today, the M&StL and GN are trails, while the former Milwaukee Road is owned by CPKC.
