Hardin had an Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway mainline and a branch line, as well as a Wabash Railroad mainline. Today, the ATSF is owned by BNSF Railway, while the Wabash is owned by Norfolk Southern Railway. The ATSF branch line has been abandoned.
