Glenville had two railroads, a Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway/Minneapolis & St. Louis Railway mainline and an Illinois Central Railroad branch line. Today, the Rock Island is owned by Union Pacific, while the IC is owned by Canadian National Railway.
