Genoa once had three railroads, including a Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) mainline, an Illinois Central Railroad (IC) mainline and an interurban line. Today, the Milwaukee Road is owned by CPKC, the IC is owned by Canadian National Railway and the interurban is abandoned.
