Curran once had a Chicago & North Western Railway (C&NW) secondary line, a Wabash Railroad mainline, a Chicago & Alton Railway (C&A) branch line and a line of the Illinois Terminal Railroad (ITC). Today, the C&NW and ITC have been abandoned. The C&A is owned by CPKC, while the former Wabash is owned by Norfolk Southern Railway.
