Chillicothe once had a Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad mainline, a Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad branch line and a Wabash Railroad branch line. Today, CPKC continues to operate the former Milwaukee Road and a short portion of the Wabash, while the remaining railroads have been abandoned.
