Carrollton once had a mainline of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway; a Wabash Railroad mainline and a branch line of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad. Today, the ATSF is owned by BNSF Railway, while the Wabash is owned by Norfolk Southern Railway. The CB&Q has been abandoned.
