Byron once had two railroads, including a mainline of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) and a mainline of the Chicago Great Western Railway (CGW). CPKC currently owns the former Milwaukee Road, and a portion of the former CGW.
