Blue Earth once had two railroads; a Chicago & North Western Railway line and a Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha Railway (Omaha Road) line. Today, Union Pacific operates the former C&NW line, while the Omaha Road line is mainly abandoned.
