Located in Alexandria, this girder bridge carries the former Soo Line across the former Great Northern mainline, now part of the Central Lakes Trail. Built in approximately 1910, the bridge features a 65-foot skewed through plate girder. The bridge was originally built with timber approaches and substructures, but three steel stringer spans were added to each end of the girder in approximately 1940. At this time, the substructures of the bridge were rebuilt with concrete.

This design of bridge was commonly used by American railroads, due to the ease of construction and the durability. The Soo Line often replaced timber approaches with steel stringer spans, due to the lack of maintenance required with the steel spans. Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition, with no significant deterioration. The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
