Located on the north side of downtown Minneapolis, this through plate girder bridge crosses Broadway Avenue parallel to the former Northern Pacific Bridge. Reportedly built in 1905, the bridge features a 65-foot through plate girder span, approached by a 22-foot deck plate girder span on either side. The bridge is set onto steel bents and stone abutments. This style of bridge was common along North American railroads, due to the durability and ease of construction. Overall, the bridge appears to be in poor condition, with some deterioration noted to the superstructure. The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
