A brief history of the Chicago & North Western Iowa Division mainline, now part of the Overland Route:

This common deck girder span crosses the former Lincoln Highway, now County Road E14 east of Nevada.
The bridge was built in 1918 by the Chicago & North Western, a period when the road became more traveled.
Immediately to the west is another bridge, the Devils Hollow Rail Crossing.
The substructures of the bridge are made in concrete. They feature a striped paint, an attempt to alert drivers of the narrow bridge.

The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
The photo above is an overview. The bridge can be accessed from the road underneath.
