Dubuque had a Milwaukee Road mainline and a Illinois Central mainline, which was concurrent with a Chicago Great Western mainline.
Currently, the Milwaukee Road route is owned by Canadian Pacific, while the IC route is owned by Canadian National. The CGW is now a trail.
